UNSHAKEABLE METHOD
WRITING WORKSHOPS

Workshop Registering NOW!
IN-PERSON & Online (hybrid/every other week)   AUSTIN, TEXAS

Class Description:

Cate Berry is leading a small, intimate creative writing workshop of just six adult writers, in hybrid format (alternating in-person and online every other week), from February to May of 2026.

Writers of memoir, essays, short stories, general fiction and children’s literature are all welcome. Each week writers may read up to 7 double spaced pages. We will discuss and explore what is exciting, authentic and “true” within each writer’s own voice. Long projects and short projects welcome. Environment will be writer-friendly with an intent towards publishing. $300/month. February through May.

Using her distinct "unshakeable artist method" developed over years of experience in the industry, Ms. Berry helps writers identify where their work is true and authentic to themselves, allowing greater agency and autonomy within traditional publishing.

In other words, you'll become unshakeable to the outside forces of publishing, leaving you happier and healthier in your writing journey and creative life.

Ms. Berry is a traditionally published author (Harper Collins/MacMillan) who holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has presented multiple times at the Texas Book Festival, West Texas Book Festival, Association for Writers and Writing Programs, The Writer’s League of Texas and many organizations, libraries and schools nationwide. She served as editor for Bushel and Peck Books and was the humor columnist for five years with Austin Family Magazine. Teaching and watching students succeed is her Achilles heel.
